Start work on I Love Everyone – a tiny little country song.
Record guide piano and simple drum part.
Simple 1,2,1,2 bass using usual Trilogy sound.
As is often the case, the guitar part I’d constructed in composing is trying to do too much. Break it into 2 parts, as was done with No More Love Songs. Bass and chords on the left and melodic picking on the right.
Try nylon strung for bass/chords part – too muddy. Bring out Koa Taylor which is mellow sounding. OK.
Record picking part with Collings – more strident sound.
Encouraging. Time to go home.
