Fancy a Game?

Q - I see you are playing at the ****. How would you like to make up a fourball on Sunday morning or afternoon at **** G.C? Course is 5 minutes from the gig.

A - Well, let me start by saying that I think that golf is a little different from dinner. I'm happy to play golf with pretty much anyone, and if they happen to be a fan of mine, they realise after one hole that I'm nothing special on the golf course.

However, I don't always have my clubs with me and I just cannot be sure if I'll be fit and healthy, and if I'm not, I must rest so that I can do my best to play a good show. So, much as I'd like to, I can't commit to golf on tour.

If your schedule is flexible and you're willing to work with a potentially annoying can /can't possible partner, feel free to write to me and include a contact number and I'll call, or email closer to the date to let you know if I can do it or not.

Realistically, I don't schedule 18 holes on the same day as a concert anymore... I'm too old. But I love to play 9 and I'm often in town the day before or the day after. I've met many wonderful folk on the golf course, I don't want to put a damper on that.

Lastly - I do not enjoy playing golf if it involves riding in a golf cart, or buggy. I like to walk.

Title: OOh yes!

Actually I'm useless. I played last week (after 12 yrs away) a 9 hole and that was too long! I got to 6 and had lost all patience with it..I hacked up every piece of turf in sight...and there were a couple of people following closely behind putting pressure on me...the harder you try with it the worse you get I find. I spent most of the time in the rough, with the ball ricochetting off the trees! Actually that was probably the best bit!

Title: I live next to a golf course

Any plans to play North America, particularly the Seattle area? I live three houses down from a golf course, though I've never golfed.
