New/Old Prefab Sprout

Q - Any interest in the new/old Prefab Sprout record coming out next week?

A - Having just Googled and seen that 'Let's change the world with music' was intended for 1992 release, to follow 'Jordan', I'm not really sure. I do like Paddy and PS, though. I'm just not a devotee.

So that's not much of a reply is it? Well, the reason I replied is that I just unearthed one of my most treasured items that I'd forgotten I owned. (Love those). I have a chord chart with diagrams and lyrics made by Paddy, especially for me, for my favourite of his - 'Lions In My Own Garden'.

I'm sure he won't mind me sharing after all these years -

As a big fan of PS I liked that :) Btw, I remember you writing on this blog a few years ago telling about meeting Paddy, and he did some funny routine pretending to be choking. Am I right?

The new PS record has a few instant calssics on it, and is overall a good collection.

Title: Choking Victim

PM was NOT pretending to choke! He WAS choking on a hot chilli pepper from a Thai soup we bullied him into ordering. I was comical, but he wasn't laughing. We felt very guilty.

I guess Paddy's not afraid of a few chord changes. Maybe a little busy for your Folksinger shows, no?

So the new Sprout CD is here (and I like it!).

Found two small connections to LC:

- Cover photo taken by Kevin Westenberg (didn't he shoot the photo for your solo debut?)

- Paddy sings about "Jules and Jim", like you in Speedboad.

I was drawn to the PF CD by chance...got home and thought...'Oh No! It's about GOD!' ....and then..it started again!! But that's another story...This is a BRILLIANT collection of songs.
