Title: Wow
Wow what a night in Sydney great venue and good crowd. Hot humid and fun. The band sounded great and Lloyd's voice in fine form, seems to get better with age. It was amazing to hear the lush sounds the Ensemble added to the tracks. I'm off to Melbourne to do it all again: here is the Sydney setlist. No blue skies

Title: Great concert in Melbourne
Yes Wow it is! I was really impressed at the performance he put on at the Thornbury Theatre. It really exceeded expectations and was certainly worth the trip to Melbourne. The venue was fantastic- a beautiful old building with high domed, artistic ceiling. I'm not sure if the building added to the acoustics, but I can't remember ever going to concert and hearing every instrument and lyric so crisp and clearly. The sound guys did a great job IMO...And then there was the dimmly lit , candlelit tables that really added to the whole experience/atmosphere.
As for the music itself...absolutely great. Lloyd you really nailed it. The energy of some of those old classics really came out, especially with the 2 other musicians you had with you. But my only question is: What was with the Law and Order theme song that the guitarist kept playing between songs? Inside joke I assume. Look forward to the next visit.

Title: and Order
I was trying to locate that one too, not really knowing the show, came in well with My Alibi perhaps? My thoughts on the Melbourne shows I've added to the forum under touring. Loved it.
Were you over from Tasmania by any chance Geospud? I met someone that flew in for the show from there.

Title: Law and Order
Yes, you're right it must have been related to that song. I flew in from Canberra actually. I went alone, but I got seated at a table with a whole bunch of 40 somethings. We had a great time reminiscing about the old 80's and 90's artists...Pet Shop Boys, New Order etc.. Really fun night overall.
