Q – I would like to surprise my friend with a backstage pass for the Dublin shows. Could you tell me how to go about getting two please?
A – These are no given out to anyone but close friends and family. Firstly, there is the security issue… and then, frankly, you don’t want to see me after the show – I’m usually drenched in sweat and emotionally drained. However – if folk have brought CDs etc to be signed and are willing to wait until I’ve packed my cases, had a snack (I’m also always hungry because I cannot eat before singing) and changed, then I’m happy to sign and say a quick hello on my way out. I do not go for drinks afterward, or to parties. Hopefully there is an old episode of The Sweeney on TV…
