Q – If I am reading the Cleaning Out book correctly, is there another complete Electric Lady studios mix of Bad Vibes? Is it radically different to the completed album? Will we ever get to hear it?
A – That’s right. We thought we had finished the album, but the mixes were not right and we mixed the whole thing again with Bob Clearmountain at A&M in LA. I even scrapped the lyric to one song – something about the bogeyman/boogieman – and rewrote it as Seen The Future. I’m not sure if I even have a DAT of these mixes. Maybe a cassette. Maybe a future white label?
