Q – I am wondering. Have have you ever played the courses in Bandon, Oregon? (In the interest of full disclosure, this is an entirely self serving question. You haven’t played a show in nearby Portland in four years, and I’m hoping you might pack a couple of guitars along with some clubs and fix that.)
A – I have been there. I fact I eagled #1 at Bandon Dunes with a full 7 iron going in the hole – very exciting. However, much as I liked Bandon, the town, and the courses ARE great, I was a little disappointed. I guess Bandon is so hyped up that I expected golf heaven, and I’d just played Turnberry, which is closer to heaven IMHO… When will I get back to the Pacific NW? I don’t know, but it will be quite soon, I’m sure.
