Q – Lloyd, thanks for continuing to bless us with your words and music. It’s truly unmatched. I’ve had the pleasure of seeing you perform about half-a-dozen times, and only once have I heard you comment on just how much you loved one of your own musical creations…

Must have been very early 90’s, you headlined a WHFS show in DC (with The Judybats, The Connells, Go-Betweens too I think…), and after you’d finished “Butterfly” you beamed, and exclaimed, “God, I love that song…” So, do you still? And are there any others that hold a special space in the hierarchy of your own stuff?

BTW – Fave performance was at Constitution Hall in early 90’s as well..Shawn Colvin opened for you. You were on fire that night. Farewell to NYC show at Mercury Lounge was great too….hell, they all were.

A – Funny.. love / hate I guess. I went for years not singing that song after I heard Mike Scott sing and awful song called ‘My Dark Side’ and I thought – I hope to God I don’t have a song like that…

It is back on my A List, now, and is actually pretty fun to play on acoustic guitar. And it is short.
