My head was somewhat clearer after taking a night away from Logic and the last song to be made ready for Mark – Women’s Studies – takes a while as there are 7 tracks of Matthew and 3 tracks of my guitar ideas to import, along with all of the usual i dotting an t crossing. The guide vocal is possibly THE vocal (maybe a word here or there could be improved) so I am careful to keep the original two takes and I make a new audio file of the comp we made in LA. The bad news is that I have thought of a better last line – only two words would need changing… this will be a challenge to see if we can match the sound, or get close enough so that the difference is almost inaudible. Luckily it’s a noisy song.
After a couple of hours the work is done, and it sounds good. All files backed up to HD2.

Then I restring the two telecasters, the 330 and the 335 to be ready for tomorrow. The Maple tele has a buzz on the top string. Must email Trevor Healy (my local luthier) to see if he can look at it quickly. It was fine in LA…

Home in time for dinner and I guess we’ll watch Macca singing with the living Nirvana guys… I’m not sure if I could have thought of a worse idea but it should be fun one way or the other…
