Q – Hi Lloyd. I’ve been a fan of your music since the launch of Rattlesnakes; my favourite albums have been Easy Pieces & Lloyd Cole. My question is this. I live in the Dorking area of Surrey & when I was younger in the late eighties, was told that your parents owned a pub in a village nearby. This was something of an urban myth but I do remember the first time I went, hearing one of your songs being played…. Would you be able to confirm if this myth was really true? Also am thinking of starting a tribute band (I hate the name tribute, but oh well) to play some of your earlier songs. Is this a terrible idea !?

A – My parents have never owned a pub, but they did run the King’s Head in Holmbury St. Mary, near Dorking, for a while in the 1990’s. They still live in the area. Can’t really comment re tribulte band. If you had fun I doubt anyone would ask you to cease and desist.
