Q – I was recently reading about the early music career of the late Kirsty MacColl and was impressed by the extent of her work/collaboration back in the 80’s. Lloyd did Kirsty ever record/perform with you and the Commotions as a backup singer, or were you ever on tour together? I see she was also contracted to Polydor, perhaps during the same time as you. If you have any recollections you would like to share, I will be grateful. Thanks for providing fans with a great website resource.
A – I never met Kirsty. Recently I heard ‘They Don’t Know’ – I had forgotten how fantastic a song it is. She was really something.
