Q – I suppose you have been asked this before, but how instrumental was John Peel in the career of Lloyd Cole & The Commotions? Do have any fond personal memories of Peelie? Thanks.
A – I can’t speak fo the rest of the band, but I learnt about more music, good and bad, via the Peel show than anywhere else. Where else was there?? I was a fan, and remained one even after he refered to us as the Leicester City of the music scene..
