Q – I remember reading in a Dr Robert interview from about 1986 that you and he were planning to release an ep of T.Rex songs. Did you record anything or was it merely a splendid idea in theory? PS I’ve just read you giving the Futuristic Dragon lp significantly short shift. Don’t you appreciate All Alone or Casual Agent? I think they’re sublime.
A – That might have been fun.. it never did happen and I didn’t see much of Robert after our touring together. I did record several Marc songs which ended up on b-sides over the years: Children of the Revolution in 1991, The Slider and Mystic Lady in 1993. Futuristic Dragon is only really listenable if you are a Marc person, and I am, but it is hard going..
