Q – I’ve just seen this album for sale online, which lists the following track: “Akimbo – Astrid Kane Remix feat Lloyd Cole”. Is this a new vocal or a sample from an old song?
A – I was just thinking that I should put something up here about that track, if I didn’t already. It was a new vocal and lyric written especially for the album. The song ‘Akimbo’ was originally instrumental. I recorded the vocals and Tim Story applied the effects and did the mix. I am very happy with the result and thrilled to be on a Lunz record. The original album, upon which these remixes are all based is quite exquisite.
