Q – have always wondered what happen between you and mike scott of the waterboys in amsterdam. You mentioned it at a san francisco show some 10 years ago. i have always been a lloyd cole and mike scott fan. can you shed any light on the conflict between you?
A – No conflict. I think I met him once. I tell a story, occasionally, which makes a joke at the expense of his song ‘My dark side’, the same story then points out that my own song ‘Butterfly’ might well deserve the same treatment…
