Q – I too am impressed with the understatedly perfect keyboard work on Music in a Foreign Language. In a previous post, you said you would welcome input from sound designers. As a bit-headed knob twiddler who’s who has been at that off and on for more than 20 years, I’ll bite. What sort of input are you looking for?
A – I’m looking for folk who enjoy synth sound design, I hate it, to help with my work load. I could send a batch of sounds that I like and the designer could expand upon the ideas, giving me more options, colours, on my next project. Soft synths are the only ones that make sense to send files over the internet. I work with the Native Instruments Pro 53, Virsyn Tera, Arturia CS-80, LinPlug Albino, Spectrasonics Atmosphere, etc, etc.
