Q – I played the radio 1-taped cassette of that show to death for years, and have always preferred this version to the one that appeared on Mainstream. It was a bit more Brand New Friend-ish, is about the best way I can describe it. Do you remember it and if so, how do you think it compares?
A – I prefer the Mainstream version, but frankly, I don’t like the play out on either of them – it does go on a bit… Anyhow, you can have the old version now, as it’s on the Lloyd Cole and the Commotions live at the BBC Vol. 2 CD set – it’s in the live set we played at Glastonbury.
