Spent a large part of today figuring out what I wanted to do with the final vocals. Ended up, after much singing deciding that the playout would not be a chant, so any background vocals would only be in the chorus. Then mapped out the lead vocal in the playout and figured how the strings can work with them. David will work further on the parts. Then I finally sung the thing (the workmen left around 4, so it was quiet) about 8 years after I started writing it.
