Q – In one interview you gave after the release of your solo debut you mentioned a possible future collaboration with REM’s guitarist Peter Buck. Was the plan for him to play on Dont Get Weird On Me, or had you another project in mind? And was there a particular reason why it didn’t come off?
A – PB is a nice guy, last time I saw him must have been 1992… He was interested in working on a record, so was I, but I ended up working with Bob Quine and there was no need to complicate things at that time.
