Fans will be delighted to hear that LLOYD COLE returns to the stage doing what he does best and the great news is that Sligo Live Sessions will be one of the Festivals to feature him first for what promises to be a really special evening. The acoustically beautiful atmospheric venue ‘ The Model’ will be host to this show on Saturday, 23rd October 2010.

After almost a decade in self-imposed exile Lloyd Cole developed an itch to be back on the road, he missed interacting with musicians, the camaraderie and the joy of performing before a live audience. His eagerly anticipated album ” Broken Record” will be released on 13th September 2010.
Lloyd Cole and the Commotions released 6 albums in their time together. Lloyd Cole has released 12 solo albums. The Commotions’ 1984 debut ‘ Rattlesnakes’ contained literary and pop culture name-checks to such figures as Nor man Mailer, Grace Kelly, Eva Marie Saint, Truman Capote and Joan Didion. Lloyd Cole’s career is long and varied. In 2009 Lloyd Cole embarked on his first ever around the world tour, selling out solo shows from San Francisco, through Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and ending in Glasgow, where the Commotions reunited to play two songs and received the Tartan Clef Lifetime Achievement Award. In September 2009 Lloyd Cole for med Lloyd Cole Ensemble with Mark Schwaber and Matt Cullen.
