I.e. an initial phrase and introduction of one of the songs of the record, that forces one to read on and at the end of the song, has been reused with a newfound meaning to why it was first uttered. To emphasise this, one of the songs on Broken record is set in a “writer´s retreat”..The .musical backdrop or “frame” is his patented polite and well-read New England country & “lambs wool-Western”. Anyone who has ever been struck by Cole’s words will once again be surprised by how good he is ..
