Q – COTA is on my heavy rotation list right now and I love Everyone’s complaining. It’s a great song but the recording feels a bit demo-ish. Any chance of you making a new improved version?
A – In a word – no. It’s not a song I’d feel comfortable singing at almost 50. I think it’s a young man’s song. I can, however, reveal that the Commotions did record it during the doomed Chris Thomas Paris sessions of 1987 (along with an early version of mr. Malcontent), so if the Commotions box ever comes to fruition, it will be included.
