Q – Being part of the Scottish scene in the early eighties I wondered if you had ever met Roddy Frame or like his music. When I look for your cds on amazon and sites like that it seems a lot of people who buy your stuff buy his cds too although apart from obvious talent and the acoustic vibe I can’t find that many similarities. Just curious…thanks
A – I see that, too. I don’t understand it. I think it’s just the Amazon crowd… seriously, I always thought of Roddy as someone with almost too much musical talent at too young an age – he was able to do almost anything he tried. He really is a very able guitarist. Consequently, I don’t think he ever quite figured out what that thing he wanted to do/make was. I’m told his recent acoustic offerings are great. I should listen.
