Antidepressant album sleeve artist soon to be displayed in LA Metro.
From Susan’s note to me – I just wanted to share the very excited news that I will be creating a large, permanent, public art piece (actually 8 large panels) for one of the new Metro stations subway line stations here in L.A.!
The drawings I create for the station will be recreated in ceramic tile and installed in the station at Sepulveda and Exposition (where the 405 and 10 freeways meet) which is scheduled to open Fall 2016. Here is a link to L.A. Metro’s press release.
I wrote back to Susan that I was so excited and maybe doubly so because some of my favourite art is the ceramic work of Maria Keil, most famously displayed in the Lisbon Metro –
UPDATE – I just had email contact with Susan and had a quick look at her latest work, which I believe to be her best yet… her website is here.
