Q – I find it an interesting coincidence that you seem to be friends with or at least acquainted with two other artists whose music I also adore: The The and Del Amitri. I wonder if you’d care to comment on their music or perhaps even what sort of people you find them to be.
A – I can happily say that the Dels and Matt are lovely folk sharing a great sense of humour. We toured several time with the Dels and I shared a studio space with Matt in NYC in the mid 90’s. I can also happily announce that they both have quite a few songs I’m fond of. Soul Mining was the main reason we chose Paul Hardiman to produce Rattlesnakes.
