Q – I enjoyed your recent gig in Cambridge – wondered
how you chose the cover versions you include in
your live sets.

A – Simple really – I try to play great songs that I can play in my own way, songs which I can try to make my own with my adaptation, songs that are worth this effort. Often I choose songs I wish I could have written, but which offer a perspective that I couldn’t offer myself. Rock’n’Roll Ain’t Noise Pollution being a prime example.
