Monday 12th June. Mick and I went to the Townhouse Studios to master the album with Bunt Stafford Clark, who also did MIAFL. I was late, I’m not sure if I want to try to take a London bus across town again, at least not in the Summertime..

Back in London with hard drive containing new vocals and handclaps. Off to Mick Glossop’s place again and we listen through to all the new ideas – CH has twisted my arm and I’ve sung a few harmonies, so there is explaining to be done – some are very subtle, some less so…

Recording at Chris Hughes’ studio Ashley Manor, near Bath. The plan is to breath some life into the rather soporific vocal performances on The Young Idealsists, Woman in a Bar and Antidepressant.

Saturday June 3rd. Rolodex mix reviewed and after finding all kinds of awful digital pops and clicks and removing them (Mick does all that) another one bites the dust.

I’m back at Mick Glossop’s house/studio to do mix recalls. Most of the original mixes were vocal light and Chris Hughes, who is now executive producing the completion of the album, went through all the original mixes and listed what we thought could improve them, and the overall feel of the record.
